The Vigil of the Soul Film Festival is a series of short documentary films that focus on various aspects of Serbian history, culture and spirituality. Each film centers on Serbian history, nationality, and biographies, through the lense of archeology, art history, contemporary art, traditional conservation, ecology and even the beauty of Serbian nature and cities. The organizers of the festival have created and are presenting a festival that will speak positively about the Serbia of old and present times.

The suggested donation is $10. Parking is limited to the first twenty-five automobiles so please use alternate means of transportation if possible.

The exodus of the Serbian nation through the rough and inhospitable mountains of Albania to the island of Corfu and the resurrection of the dying state on that island is the theme of this documentary-feature film. The story is devoid of big words, very emotional and pulls at the heart strings, at memories of grandfathers’ stories and history lessons learned long ago. The film is a loving collage of carefully selected archive documents and the re-enactment by a select group of actors. Narrative of Dragan Nikolić connects all of the events, while he visits all of the crucial places of the Serbian Golgotha.
