| Black Bear Combo is a five or six member brass/reed band. Our sound is a raucous mutt inspired by traditional music from eastern Europe and the Balkans, filtered through our own noise/freejazz/rock backgrounds- We began in 2002 and with varying lineups have played many shows with many great bands- We’ve brought our sound to rock clubs, basements, and festivals across the country, weddings, funerals, Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans, the Halloween party at the White House, and much more.
